Boulder Bash
This thrilling event features some of the top pro climbers in the country ascending a man made 20 foot high bouldering cave. This cage, visible to spectators from all sides, has been called the “most unique bouldering wall ever constructed” and was custom built for Dominion Energy Riverrock and Dominion Energy Riverrock only. During the competition, Men and Women will be forced to max out their agility in order to climb up and out of the cage.
Cost & Registration
Climbers interested in taking part in the Boulder Bash should be highly qualified climbers with women being able to climb v8 or above and men being able to climb v10 or above.

Participants must be at least 14 years old to participate.

Entries are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable, even in the case of a race cancellation and/or if you are unable to participate.
Packet Pick Up*
You must pick you your packet before the start of your event. Bib numbers must be worn in order to access the Start Area of all events. A Photo ID is required to pick you your packet. You may pick up a packet for another pre-registered participant, provided you have a copy of their photo ID.
*All athletes must report to the climbing zone before 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 16 for an event briefing.
Competition Format
The competition is comprised of: two qualifying rounds, a semifinal, and a final. There will be 20 women and 20 men competing in both Q1 and Q2 starting on Friday at 6:00 pm and Saturday at 12:00 pm, respectively. The top 15 male and female climbers will move on to the semifinals starting at 4:30 pm on Saturday. The top 10 climbers will compete in the single-route finals Saturday night starting at 8:00 pm. The time limit for each round is 5 minutes.
The iso area will open approximately 90 minutes prior to each round and close 30 minutes prior to each round.
