3 Events, One Day, Fastest Time Wins! Do you think you have what it takes to run, paddle and bike all in one day? Prove it by competing in the River Rumble, where you will be challenged to take on the James River Scramble, the Sierra Nevada Down River Paddle and the 20-mile Urban Assault course! One male and one female will earn bragging rights as our River Rumble Champion!

SIGN UP ONLINE through 8:30 a.m. on May 19.

On site registration is located in the American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar courtyard during the following times:

Friday, May 19 from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. 
Saturday, May 20 beginning at 7 a.m.

Entries are non-deferrable, non-refundable, and non-transferable.

Packet Pick Up:

Packet Pick-up is in the American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar courtyard during the following times:

Friday, May 19 from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 20 beginning at 7 a.m. 

When you arrive at the registration tent, find your name on the bulletin board to learn your race number (or you can look it up in advance here). Then visit the table corresponding to your number and you will receive your t-shirt and bib. Then you’re ready to race! Please note that a photo ID is required to pick up your packet (not required for minors without IDs). You may pick up someone else's packet for them provided you have a photocopy of their picture ID.

General Rules:

  • Consumption of alcohol before the event is PROHIBITED
SIERRA NEVADA DOWN RIVER PADDLE DETAILS:
Participants will start at Reedy Creek, race downriver to the finish at the 14th Street takeout.  You will be sent off individually every minute and the fastest time will win!  Pick your boat, kayak, canoe, or SUP.

  • All riders must wear a helmet
  • Please be aware that the trails used for this event are shared multi-use trails. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the IMBA Rules of the Trail.
  • Any weather related decisions will be made as soon as possible.  We want the event to happen but will always put the safety of our participants first along with our responsibility to prevent deterioration of our awesome trail system.
